They bored, line-honed, and hot tanked my turbocharged miata's cast iron engine block. They balanced the rotating components, polished the crank, and measured the clearances with new forged internals - Jose is an excellent mechanic. They had about 50 other engine projects in queue and got mine turned around quickly. My engine has ran strong now at wide open throttle for a few thousand miles. I cannot recommend this shop enough, great work at a good price - it is worth the drive from Milwaukee/Chicago

WOW! I can say that this is the best customer service I have ever had! I am a female who knows NOTHING about cars. I was on a cross country roadtrip when I started haveing engine trouble. I got to Madison, WI and needed the car fixed. I was terrified of being taken advantage of. All this was foreign to me as I did not have a car for most of my life. I called around to MANY transmission shops. When I found Midwest Engine Service I knew I was in the right place. From the get go, I was reassured by the kind voice on the phone. I spoke with the owner, Wayne. He went over the issue with my transmission top to bottom. He spoke in laymen's terms, so I actually understood what he was saying. Not only did I feel comfortable trusting Midwest Engine, they gave me the best quote and fastest turn around! Wayne kept me informed step by step, as I was still trying to finish my roadtrip. It seemed I needed a new axle, so I added that to the work order. Again, Waynes' thoughtful words and actions helped keep me at ease. When I got the call that the car was done, the price was even lower than the quote. This included the axle as well! I was so happy with the quality of work, the service and the trusting comfort they gave me. I was able to get back on the road the next morning. Finally, I was leaving Madison. As I was driving out of town that following morning, I got a call from Wayne. I instantly thought he was going to say they needed the car back or something. Why else would they be calling? It was Wayne. He called to make sure the car was running smoothly and that I had made it out of town ok. He then told me he also called to wish me a safe rest of my trip. I felt blessed. I had definitely found the greatest mechanic and team. They are just lovely, honest and have human integrity. Thank you Wayne & the team

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from Midwest Engine. All things were throughly explained, and in those conversations the Technician certainly demonstrated his knowledge and skills to service my vehicle. The overall communications and staff engagement was great. I received a call following the initial vehicle inspection, a call regarding what needed to be repaired and what should be repaired, and what could wait, very nice for budget management. The service cost are more than reasonable and the turnaround time on my needed repairs was more than acceptable. I will certainly be using Midwest going forward and recommending their reputable services to all of my friends and anyone in need of quality vehicle service repairs, maintenance and upkeep

On our way back from vacation and we had a blow out on the highway. I called Midwest to see if we could get a new tire right away. The young lady who helped us was wonderful. When we got there a man helped us and had a great sense of humor. They gave us a loaner car until our car was finished. Two hours later we were back on the road. Thank you for the wonderful service.

I had my 4-wheel suspension replaced on my 2016 Toyota 4Runner and couldn't be happier. The service was extremely professional and the ride quality is perfect-just like it was before the replacement. It drives smooth and solid again. I highly recommend Midwest Engine Service!

Midwest always does great work and I never feel like I'm being "taken for a ride". I appreciate the honest assessments of what needs to be done and in what time-frame. Always more reasonable than the dealership on both counts! Super handy to have a loaner car, and I love that my car is always shiny and feels like new when I pick it up, even after an oil change! I am from IL and was going to our home in Northern Wisconsin when I experienced car trouble. Lucky for me, I got off at the first Madison exit. I called Midwest Engine Service. They were AWESOME! They had me towed to their shop. Clean building and great staff. They got me back on the road within 3 hours. The repair bill was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this auto repair facility!

I have been in the customer service business for over 30 years, I certainly have no problems recognizing EXCELLENT SERVICE and let me tell you your team GETS IT. From the helpful phone call to your shop when I was stranded at Home Depot to the tow truck driver calling to confirm to me that my truck was picked up...I will not ever take my truck anywhere else and you have a customer for life.
